‘Manipur aid camps in pathetic situation’: INDIA MPs to governor; Cong’s ‘Mann ki Baat’ dig at PM Modi


A delegation of Opposition INDIA bloc alliance MPs, who referred to as on Manipur governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan, claimed of their memorandum that the situation of aid camps “is pathetic – to say the least”, and particular care must be taken for the kids staying on a precedence foundation.

The Opposition delegation of 21 MPs arrived in Manipur on Saturday to evaluate the bottom state of affairs and meet victims of the three-month ethnic riots within the state. Addressing reporters outdoors Raj Bhavan after the assembly, Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury asserted that if the Manipur ethnic battle shouldn’t be resolved quickly, it might create safety issues for the nation.

The Congress chief stated, “The governor heard our observations and agreed to these. She expressed sorrow over the incidents of violence and urged that an all-party delegation ought to go to Manipur to speak to individuals to take away distrust amongst communities.”

Chowdhury stated that the visiting MPs will current their observations on Manipur in Parliament. “We’ve requested a dialogue on Manipur in Parliament because the state of affairs is deteriorating each day,” he stated.

Violence broke out in Manipur on Could 3 after a ‘Tribal Solidarity March’ was organised within the hill districts to protest towards the Meitei neighborhood’s demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) standing, killing over 160 individuals since then, and injuring a whole bunch.
